【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyperformancespecificationestablishessafetyperformancerequirements,testmethods,andrequirementsforlabelingtominimizetheidentifiedhazardstochildrenpresentedbyinfantbeddingandrelatedaccessoriesasidentifiedintheintroduction.1.2Noinfantbeddingorrelatedaccessoryproducedaftertheapprovaldateoftheconsumersafetyperformancespecificationshallindicate,eitherbylabelorothermeans,compliancewiththisspecificationunlessitconformstoallapplicablerequirementscontainedherein.1.3Theinspectionandtestprocedurescontainedhereinshallbeusedtodeterminetheconformanceofproductstotherequirementsofthisconsumersafetyperformancespecification.Therelevanttestsforaninfantbeddingproductorrelatedaccessorycanbedoneinanyorder,exceptwherespecified.Eachtestmaybeconductedonadifferentsample,unlessotherwisespecified.Thetestscanbeconsideredasqualificationtestsandnotnecessarilyasqualitycontroltests.Thesetestsshallalsobeconductedwhenthereisadesignormaterialchangeintheinfantbeddingorrelatedaccessoryitem.Eachproducerordistributorwhorepresentsanyproductsasconformingtothisspecificationmayutilizestatisticallybasedsamplingplansthatareappropriateandshallkeepsuchessentialrecordsasarenecessarytodocumentthatalloftherequirementsofthisspecificationhavebeenmet.AnytestmethodsthataremademandatorybytheCPSC,oranyapplicablegovernmentalagencies,shallsupersedeanyapplicabletestmethodsinthisspecification.1.4Thesetestsareintendedtosimulatenormaluseconditions,soastoensurethathazardsarenotgeneratedthroughnormaluse.Thetestsshallbecarriedoutinanormaluseenvironment.Forexample,bumperguardsshouldbesecuredinacribasacustomerwouldinactualendusesituations.Tiesshouldbetiedanduntied.Whilenospecificrequirementsaredefinedhere,theevaluatorshallperformenoughtestingtosimulatenormaluseduringtheestimatedlifetimeoftheproduct.Theinfantbeddingproductorrelatedaccessoryshallbeinspectedaftersuchtestsandshallbeevaluatedaccordingtotherelevantrequirementslistedwithinthisspecification.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section7,ofthisconsumersafetyperformancespecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
